The ThemeForest download can contain several ZIP files, but only one of them is the installable DentalCare parent theme. Choosing the correct file prevents the most common installation error before it happens.
What is inside the download package#
After extracting the main ThemeForest download, you may see the following files:

Do not upload the main ThemeForest package#
The main download is a container package. WordPress cannot install it as a theme because style.css is not located at the expected level. Extract the package first, then upload dental-care.zip.
The installable theme ZIP#
dental-care.zip is the file used in . Inside that archive, the dental-care directory contains style.css directly in the theme root.
If you extract the archive for FTP installation, the final path should look like:
wp-content/themes/dental-care/style.cssIf another folder sits between dental-care and style.css, the package has been extracted or uploaded at the wrong level.
The optional child theme#
The child theme is for custom PHP, template, or stylesheet changes that should remain separate from parent-theme updates. It is not required for normal setup, Elementor editing, Customizer settings, or demo content.
- Install the DentalCare parent theme first.
- Install
dental-care-child.zipthrough the same WordPress theme uploader. - Activate the child theme only when you intend to place custom code or template overrides in it.
The documentation ZIP#
Documentation.zip contains documentation files for local reference. Extract it on your computer and open its index.html file in a browser. Do not upload this ZIP through the WordPress theme or plugin installer.
The online documentation may receive updates after the original product download was created, so use the hosted documentation when you need the latest published instructions.
Why WordPress reports a missing style.css file#
The error normally means the wrong ZIP was uploaded. It does not usually mean the DentalCare theme is missing its stylesheet.
- Return to the original ThemeForest download.
- Extract the main package on your computer.
- Locate
dental-care.zip. - Upload that file through the WordPress theme installer.
If the error continues, inspect the archive structure and confirm that style.css is directly inside the dental-care theme directory.
Quick file check before installation#
- Upload
dental-care.zipas the parent theme. - Do not upload the full ThemeForest download package.
- Keep
Documentation.zipfor local reference and do not upload it through the WordPress theme installer. - Install the child theme only when you need code-level customizations.
- Keep the original download package as a backup.
Support escalation#
If the package still will not install, provide the exact ZIP filename, a screenshot of the WordPress error, the archive folder structure, your WordPress version, and the installation method used. Do not send passwords.
