How to install the DentalCare theme

Upload the dental-care.zip, activate the theme, and continue with required plugin setup.

Install DentalCare from the installable theme ZIP, activate it in WordPress, and continue with the required plugin setup.

Before you begin#

  • a supported, current WordPress release
  • PHP 7.0 or newer is declared by the DentalCare theme metadata; PHP 8.4 or newer is recommended by the Stronghold documentation policy.
  • A WordPress administrator account.
  • dental-care.zip.
  • A recent backup when installing on an existing site.

Choose the installable theme ZIP#

If you downloaded the main download package from ThemeForest, extract it first. Upload dental-care.zip to WordPress, not the main download package itself. The main download may include additional files. If your purchase includes dental-care-child.zip, use it only when needed; keep Documentation.zip for local reference. The installable theme ZIP contains the dental-care theme directory with style.css directly in its root.

Install and activate DentalCare#

  1. Sign in to WordPress#

    Sign in with an administrator account and open the WordPress dashboard.

    Expected result: the dashboard is available without an installation error.

  2. Open Themes#

    Go to AppearanceThemes, then select Add Theme.

    Expected result: WordPress displays the Add Themes screen.

  3. Upload the installable ZIP#

    Select Upload Theme, choose Choose File, select dental-care.zip, and select Install Now.

    Expected result: WordPress begins installing the selected theme archive without reporting a missing style.css error.

  4. Activate DentalCare#

    Wait for Theme installed successfully., then select Activate. Open the front end in a new tab.

    Expected result: DentalCare is active and WordPress displays the required/recommended plugin notice.

  5. Continue with plugin installation#

    Select Begin installing plugins in the notice, or continue to the separate plugin setup workflow.

    Expected result: the theme is active and ready for required plugin installation.

Optional FTP installation#

Use this alternative when the WordPress uploader cannot accept the archive. WordPress upload is the preferred method.

  1. Extract dental-care.zip locally.
  2. Upload the dental-care directory to wp-content/themes/.
  3. Confirm that style.css exists directly inside wp-content/themes/dental-care/.
  4. Return to AppearanceThemes and activate DentalCare.

Do not delete a customized live theme to resolve a folder conflict. Rename or remove an old folder only after confirming it is not the active theme and you have a backup.

Optional child theme#

The child theme is optional. Install it only when you are making code-level or template customizations that should remain separate from parent-theme updates. Install the DentalCare parent theme first; activate the child theme only if you intend to use it.

If your DentalCare purchase package includes dental-care-child.zip, install it after the parent theme. Otherwise, do not assume the child-theme file is included.

The child theme uses the same WordPress theme-upload workflow as the parent theme.

What happens after activation#

DentalCare becomes the active theme and WordPress displays a notice for the required and recommended plugins. Theme activation alone does not recreate a demo site. Required plugins must be installed before DentalCare-specific features are available; plugin configuration and demo import are separate workflows.

Provide a screenshot of the error, the exact ZIP filename, your WordPress version, PHP version, hosting provider, and whether you used the WordPress uploader or FTP. Do not send passwords.
